Standard 8 foot V bar with bolt on Vs is the simplest. Vs can be removed in 5 minutes with wrench and socket, leaving only the low profile 1.5 x 3 inch flat black bar. While it is best to have the V bar centered on your crossbars, you can move it up to 1 foot forward of center to clear the opening truck/hatch on small SUVs and Hatchbacks. If the bar is too long, consider our Short Bar with Quick Release ends. 7 foot bar with Quick Release Vs allows removal of the Vs in seconds by use of a quick release pin, no tools necessary.

Total length is 8.5 feet with ends in place. 5.5 foot Short Bar with Quick Release Vs is for shorter SUVs, hatchbacks, and shorter vehicles. With the Vs removed, the shorter 5.5 foot bar allows for the opening of the rear truck/hatch/lift gate.
